While the Irvine Company's 200 Spectrum Center tower is on-going, there is new news that the Irvine Company is proposing for another new office tower which if built would be located at 400 & 450 Spectrum Center Drive. Yes, this proposed project would be located in the Irvine Spectrum Area next to where the next tallest building in Orange County is currently under construction, 200 Spectrum Center. According to City of Irvine's Discretionary Project List document, the proposed office tower entails 20 floors which in total would result in 450,000 sq. ft. of new office space. According to the Orange County Business Journal (OCBJ), so far, the project has no confirmed timeline. Additionally, the project would also need to get approval from the City of Irvine. Sources stated by the OCBJ believes the prospects of Irvine Company moving forward with the proposed project depends upon how well the 200 Spectrum Center tower does. There are currently no renderings for this proposed project.
