From Case Number: DEV2015-00094 entails a proposed 12 story hotel project that totals to 466 hotel rooms. This proposed project is located at 1775 S. Clementine Street.

According to the OC Register, the proposed 12 story hotel project will be a four-diamond JW Marriott located at the Gardenwalk mall. The hotel is proposed to be built on a vacant lot that is next to the mall.

The article also states the developer has plans for a second four-diamond hotel at the Gardenwalk mall, however no hotel operator has been named yet.

This news brings much new activity to the under performing mall as a recent OC Register article stated the House of Blues which is currently at Downtown Disney will be moving to the Gardenwalk mall.

Looking at the City of Anaheim's map and list of development applications for July 28, 2015, there is a particular case number, DEV2015-00078, which indicates a new proposal for a mixed use project at 1800 E Gene Autry Way that consists of 826 residential units along with a total of 10,000 sq ft of retail space (Source).

Back in Sept 12, 2012, OC Register reported it was delayed. A quick look at the Google Streetview, image from April 2015,  at the intersection of Gene Autry Way and State College Boulevard showed a for sale sign indicating perhaps the new proposed development may be a new developer.

In any case, currently, no rendering exists neither does any information about the developer, but stay tuned for new news!

This update along with two other projects that are proposed/planned (e.g., Lennar's A-Town and the proposed mega project, LTG Platinum Center)  and several projects that are under construction within the Platinum Triangle district such as the Jefferson Platinum Triangle and Platinum Gateway highlights the resurgence in development in the Platinum Triangle district.
