Formerly known as the Wyndham Boutique Hotel/High-Rise Residential project has taken on a new name, Starwood Tribute Hotel Project in Costa Mesa's South Coast Metro. Along with this change is also the change from a residential tower to a hotel tower.
LAOCDB reported about the residential high-rise project back in April, 2015 and consisted of a 23 story residential high rise tower (266 feet tall) with 100 condominium units.

Instead, the Project Applicant, Rosanna Inc. has changed course and decided to go with a planned 15 story hotel tower (220 feet tall) which will have 150 hotel rooms. The project will still require the demolition of the existing parking garage. The new construction will also include a six-level parking garage that will be adjacent to the planned hotel tower with 340 vehicle parking spaces. Five levels will be above ground with one level below ground. The existing 238 hotel rooms will still be retained which overall, including the planned hotel tower, there will be 388 hotel rooms. The table provided from the environmental document shows a summary of the previous and current plans for the site:
