A new multifamily apartment construction is underway in the Goldenwest area of Huntington Beach and is known as the Monogram Residential. The project is located at the south-west side of the intersection of Edinger Avenue and Gothard Street. Previously known as Pedigo named after the developers Pedigo Products, Inc. and Pedigo South Inc. George W. Psaros Trust is also a developer partner.
The future apartment is to be comprised of a total of 510 residential units (4 stories) that will be wrapped around a six level parking structure providing 862 parking spaces. The project site is about 8.5 acres and will provide 25,815 sq ft of public open space along with private open space of 55,396 sq ft.
Based on an agreement, the developers has to provide 10% of the total residential units (51 residential units) as affordable housing to moderate and low income renters.
The architect of the project is Architects Orange and has designed a contemporary style building. The design of the building includes notches, facade composition changes, and major facade offsets to break up the massing of the building facing the street. The lower portion of the building will include a mix of brick and stone veneer. Canopies will also be installed at entrances. The building will also incorporate parapets and articulating rooflines.
