The Source, located in Buena Park, is an upcoming development, by M&D Properties (The Developer) and constructed by Swinerton Inc., that will include retail, office space, hotel, and residential units. The mixed use development includes a high rise 7 story office building, which for the first time in Buena Park's history houses a helipad at the top of the roof, because of a requirement that buildings over 75 ft. requires a helipad at the top of the roof. According to the OC Register, the office building is about 107 ft. tall.

According to the Orange County Business Journal (OCBJ), the project topped off on April 3, 2014. While confirmation of the types of retailers have not yet been disclosed, it was stated there will be both domestic and international retailers. OCBJ also reports that the hotel component will be a 4 story building with a confirmation that the hotel will be a Hyatt Place. Additionally, there is also confirmation that 'The Source' will house YG Land which will include a concert venue with a capacity of 2,000 seats, office space, and studio space. YG Land comes from YG Entertainment, a K-pop record label and talent agency. Under YG Entertainment includes popular artists such as Psy and 2NE1.
The current project is aligned with the City of Buena Park's (City) effort of creating an Entertainment Zone that includes the existing Knott's Berry Farm and Medieval Times. This attempt is much akin to the existing 'Anaheim Resort District' and the City of Garden Grove's 'Grove District - Anaheim Resort' which will include the highly anticipated under construction Great Wolf Resort. Buena Park will revamp their streetscape within the Entertainment Zone, and according to OCBJ this will take place later 2014 after the Knott's Halloween event ends. More information about Buena Park's Entertainment Zone can be found at the City's website.
