Much akin to Anaheim's Anaheim Resort District, Buena Park (City) has their Entertainment Zone which includes the popular amusement park, Knott's Berry Farm and the under construction mixed use development, The Source. Big changes are coming to the Entertainment Zone. The following is a map illustrating the boundaries, in red, of the City's Entertainment Zone and yellow demarcations indicate what is expected to remain unchanged:

According to an article from the Visit Buena Park's website, Buena Park's Entertainment Zone is seeing an increase in new development ranging from new hotels to new entertainment attractions.

The Source project's first phase is aiming for an opening date sometime this year. There is also a second phase which pertains to the construction of a new hotel consisting of 150 hotel rooms. As quoted from the article " In 2016, phase two of the project will see the construction of a 150 all-suite hotel that will feature meeting space, dining and a roof-top pool and bar."(Source: http://www.visitbuenapark.com/articles/). Through a google search, renderings of the upcoming hotel at The Source was found (Source:http://www.gfaarchitects.com/portfolio-item/the-source-phase-ii/):

The Stanford Hotel. This project pertains to a 10 story boutique style hotel which will have 150 hotel rooms and is aiming to open some time in 2016. In addition, there will be a hotel spa, upscale restaurant, and wine bar. The Stanford Hotel also has locations in New York and South Korea (Source). According to the City's Council Agenda dated February 24, 2015, the project's location is 7860 Beach Boulevard.
