The developer, Jamison Properties, proposes to construct a new 23-story mixed use high rise which borders MacArthur Park and is nearby Koreatown.
The proposed project is bounded by Wilshire Boulevard to the north, Sunset Place to the south and Hoover Street to the east. It is located diagonally across from the Lafayette Park.
The proposed project site has an existing surface parking lot, a billboard, and two one-story commercial buildings. These existing uses would need to be demolished. The new 23-story high rise tower would stand 268.5 feet tall and would be comprised of: 644 residential units, 5,500 square-ft for restaurant space, and 10,000 square-ft of neighborhood retail space.
Six-level above ground parking podium would be constructed to provide 1,124 vehicle parking spaces. The project also proposes to provide a total of 724 bicycle parking spaces of which 72 are for short-term parking and 652 for long-term parking.
The developer proposes to provide a total of 64,440 sq-feet for open space and residential amenities. The table from the Project's Environmental Report shows the proposed breakdown of the residential unit mix:
