Bixel Residences is a proposed mixed use project located on a L-shaped lot where the street address of the proposed project is located at 675 S. Bixel Street and 1111 W. 7th Street in LA's City West district. The developer is Career Lofts LA, LLC.
The proposed project consists two buildings where the largest of the two is a proposed 36 story residential tower (about 409 square feet tall) with a total of 422 rental dwelling units. This tower is also planned to include 5,597 square feet of ground floor retail. The second building is a proposed hotel standing 7 stories tall (about 85 feet) with a total of 126 extended stay hotel rooms.
Currently, the existing project site at the proposed residential tower is a surface parking lot which will have to be demolished, and the 7 story hotel site is a vacant lot.
With regard to parking, the developer is proposing for the residential tower 554 vehicle parking spaces and for the hotel, 42 vehicle parking spaces. Both proposed parking amount is more than what is required: Required parking (Residential tower = 454 vehicle parking spaces + 12 vehicle parking spaces (retail), and hotel (30 vehicle parking spaces). Overall, the developer is proposing a total of 596 vehicle parking spaces. The developer also proposes 425 bicycle parking spaces.
